This 2G plate has no cutouts at all. It is machined from solid stainless steel in a double gang size, wide enough to cover a two module electrical position with a single smooth, unbroken face rather than a plate scaled up from a single gang cover.

How It Works

There is no module behind this plate and no switching function to wire in. It is the solid metal face of Buster + Punch's modular electricity system, used to cover a double gang position rather than control one. If the point being covered is still connected to a working circuit, that work should always be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Where It Works Best

Use this where a double gang position, an old double socket, a redundant pair of switches, or a two module point from a previous layout, is being capped off rather than reused. It finishes the wall cleanly and keeps the double gang position looking intentional rather than left half done.

Yes, provided the back box and gang size match. It is designed to sit flush over a standard double gang position.

Does this plate have any switching function?
No. It is a blank cover with no module behind it. For a working double gang switch, choose one of the plates cut for dimmer, toggle or module inserts instead.

Do I need an electrician to fit this?
If the point being covered still has live wiring behind it, yes. That work should always be carried out by a qualified electrician, even for a blank plate.
