A two gang dimmer from Buster + Punch, black plate as standard, with the new Linear Knurl knobs available in black, brass or steel. Two independent rotary dimmers behind one plate, for rooms running two lighting circuits from a single spot on the wall.

Choose Your Knurl Finish

The black plate stays fixed, it's the knob finish that changes the character of the switch. Black knobs disappear into the dark plate for a switch you barely notice on the wall. Brass brings warmth and a bit of shine against the black. Steel gives a cooler, more industrial contrast. Both knobs on the plate come in whichever finish you pick.

How It Works

Each of the two rotary knobs controls its own dimmer circuit independently, with electronic soft start and two way switching built in, so you get full on and off as well as dimming from the same knob. Together they'll dim LED bulbs rated 5W to 120W or incandescent and halogen bulbs rated 60W to 400W, running on a 230 to 240V, 50Hz supply.

Where It Works Best

Good for any room with two lighting circuits to manage from one wall plate, a ceiling pendant plus wall lights in a living room, or a kitchen with downlights and a separate feature light. Made By Buster + Punch

Massimo Buster Minale founded Buster + Punch in 2013 after leaving architecture, where he'd worked at practices including Foster and Partners, to build custom motorbikes by hand out of a garage in Shoreditch. That garage habit of machining every component rather than moulding it in plastic is still how these switches are made, solid metal knobs and plates rather than pressed steel. Linear Knurl is the newer of the two knurl patterns on offer, a set of fine straight ridges rather than the original diamond cut Cross Knurl.

Questions People Ask

Can I have one black knob and one brass knob on the same plate?
No, both knobs on this plate are supplied in the same finish, so whichever you choose will match across both circuits.

Will this dim my LED bulbs properly?
It will, as long as the bulbs themselves are dimmable. Non dimmable LEDs can flicker or buzz on any dimmer switch, for more on this see our complete guide to why lights flicker.

What's the difference between the Linear Knurl and Cross Knurl versions of this dimmer?
The plate, modules and electrics are the same. Linear Knurl has fine straight ridges machined into the knob, Cross Knurl has the original diamond cut pattern.
