Not every switch works alone, and this one is built for exactly that. A white intermediate toggle with the diamond cut cross knurl pattern on the arm, designed to sit between two ordinary switches so a single landing or stairway light can be turned on and off from more than one place.

The plate here is white, and you can choose a matching white toggle arm and coin screws for a fully monochrome look, or pick a steel toggle arm for a cooler contrast against the white plate.

How It Works

This is a 3 way intermediate toggle, rated 10AX at 220 to 250V AC, 50Hz, tested to BS EN 60669. It is not a standalone switch, it is wired between two 2 way switches on the same circuit, which is what lets a light be controlled from three or more separate points.

Where It Works Best

Use this wherever a single light needs switching from more than two places, a staircase with a switch at the bottom, the landing and the top, or a long hallway with entrances at both ends. For a single switching point, the standard 2 way toggle is the more straightforward choice.
