Built for circuits that need switching from more than one place, not just a simple on and off point.

This is a solid, single finish switch, Smoked Bronze plate with a matching Smoked Bronze toggle arm, so there's no accent colour to choose here. If you'd prefer a different plate colour, the intermediate toggle is also available in Black and Brass elsewhere in this collection.

How It Works

Rather than a simple on and off toggle, this is an intermediate switch, which sits between two two way switches on the same lighting circuit so the light can be controlled from three or more locations. It's rated 250V, 10A, 50Hz and has the same solid, mechanical flick action as the rest of the range.

Where It Works Best

Ideal for staircases with switches top and bottom plus a landing, or long hallways with an entrance at each end, anywhere a single circuit needs more than two points of control. Since this is a single gang plate it covers one circuit only. For rooms needing simple on and off switching instead, or more gangs per plate, the rest of the Linear Knurl collection covers 2, 3 and 4 gang versions too.

Buster + Punch was founded in 2013 by Massimo Buster Minale, an architect who had worked at practices including Foster and Partners before turning to building custom motorbikes by hand in a Shoreditch garage. That background in hand machining parts, rather than buying them in or moulding them in plastic, is why this switch feels like solid metal rather than a plastic shell.
