A Solid Brass Intermediate Toggle

A single gang intermediate toggle switch from Buster + Punch, finished entirely in Brass and fitted with the new Linear Knurl detail kit. Rather than a simple on and off action, this switch is built to let one lighting circuit be controlled from a third point, wearing the fine straight ridged pattern that sets Linear Knurl apart from the original Cross Knurl.

Choose Your Finish

This is a solid Brass switch, plate and toggle arm both in the same warm finish, so there's no separate accent colour to pick here. For a Black or Smoked Bronze plate instead, the intermediate toggle is also available in those finishes elsewhere in this collection.

How It Works

This isn't a standard two way toggle. An intermediate switch sits between two two way switches on the same circuit, so a light can be controlled from three or more locations rather than just one or two, useful on a staircase or a long hallway. Rated 250V, 10A, 50Hz, with a firm, mechanical flick action.

Where It Works Best

Staircases with switches at the top and bottom plus a landing, long hallways with entry points at each end, or any space where one light needs switching from more than two places. As a single gang plate it covers one circuit. Massimo Buster Minale founded Buster + Punch in 2013, having left architecture practices including Foster and Partners to build custom motorbikes by hand in a garage in Shoreditch. Will the Brass finish tarnish over time?
Yes, natural Brass will age gently with handling, developing a deeper patina over time. Wipe with a dry, lint free cloth and avoid chemical cleaners to look after it.

Can this be used as a normal on and off switch?
Not on its own. An intermediate switch is designed to work alongside two two way switches on the same circuit, giving three or more points of control rather than functioning as a standalone switch.

What's in the box?
The Brass plate and switch module come in one box, with the Linear Knurl toggle detail kit in a second, both self assembled once the plate is fitted.
