This is the one gang toggle switch from Buster + Punch, wearing a Smoked Bronze plate and finished with the new Linear Knurl pattern, a run of fine straight ridges machined into the toggle arm instead of the diamond cut Cross Knurl. One switch, one circuit, built to feel as solid as it looks.

The Smoked Bronze plate stays fixed, but the toggle arm and collar come in three finishes. Smoked Bronze keeps everything tonal so the switch settles into the wall. Brass lifts it with a warm metallic accent. Steel brings a cooler, more industrial edge against the bronze plate. All three are machined from solid metal, not plated plastic.

This is a straightforward on and off toggle, rated at 250V, 10A, 50Hz. Flick it up or down and the circuit opens or closes, nothing more complicated than that. There's no dimming here, just a clean mechanical action with a satisfying, weighted click.

Made By Buster + Punch

Buster + Punch was started in 2013 by Massimo Buster Minale, an architect who had worked at practices including Foster and Partners before he left to build custom motorbikes by hand in a garage in Shoreditch. That habit of machining every part rather than moulding it in plastic or stamping it from thin steel carried straight over into the switches, which is why this toggle feels like solid metal in the hand rather than a light plastic shell.

What's the difference between this and the Cross Knurl version?
Nothing electrical. Both use the same Smoked Bronze plate and the same 250V, 10A toggle module. The only difference is the detail kit: Cross Knurl has a diamond cut pattern on the toggle arm, Linear Knurl has fine straight ridges instead.

Can I mix finishes across a room?
Yes. Because the toggle finish is a separate part from the plate, you could run Smoked Bronze plates throughout a room and choose Brass or Steel toggles on some switches for a bit of contrast.

Will this work with LED bulbs?
Yes, this is a simple on and off toggle rather than a dimmer, so it isn't affected by the compatibility issues that can come with dimming LEDs. It just switches the circuit on or off.
