A Single Gang Dimmer With a Steel Plate, Two Knurl Finishes to Choose

This single gang dimmer keeps its steel back plate fixed and lets you choose the knob. Pick steel to keep the whole switch one cool, industrial tone, or brass to warm up the same plate with a contrasting accent. Either way the knob carries Buster + Punch's newer Linear Knurl pattern, fine straight ridges rather than the diamond cut Cross Knurl original.

Steel keeps the switch understated and cool, good for a modern kitchen or a room already leaning industrial. Brass lifts the same steel plate with a warmer accent, a small detail that pulls together brass handles, taps or light fittings elsewhere in the room.

How It Works

A single rotary dimmer module sits behind the plate, with electronic soft start and two way switching so the circuit can also be controlled from a second switch. It dims LED bulbs from 5W to 120W or incandescent and halogen bulbs from 60W to 400W, on a standard 230 to 240V, 50Hz UK supply.

Where It Works Best

One dimmer module suits a single lighting circuit, a good fit for a bedroom, snug or home office. If the room has more than one circuit to dim, the 2 gang, 3 gang and 4 gang versions in the same steel plate carry the identical knurl choice across multiple modules on one plate.

What's the difference between the steel and brass knob options?
The plate, wiring and dimmer module are the same on both. Only the knob and its knurl detail changes, steel for a matching monochrome look or brass for a warmer contrast.

Is this switch dimmable with any LED bulb?
It will dim any LED bulb rated between 5W and 120W, as long as the bulb itself is labelled dimmable. Non dimmable LEDs can flicker or buzz on any dimmer switch, our complete guide to why lights flicker covers the common causes.

Can I fit this outdoors or in a bathroom?
No, it's rated for dry indoor locations only, so keep it to standard living spaces away from moisture.
