This single gang dimmer sits on a smoked bronze back plate, a deep, slightly smoky dark metal that reads almost black in most light. The knob and its Linear Knurl detail come in three finishes, so you can keep it tonal or bring in contrast, all on the same dimmer module underneath.

Smoked bronze on smoked bronze keeps the whole switch dark and quiet on the wall, good where you want the fitting to disappear. Brass adds a warm point of contrast against the dark plate, while steel gives a cooler, more industrial edge. All three sit on the identical linear ridge pattern, just in a different metal.

How It Works

A single rotary dimmer module handles the circuit, with electronic soft start and two way switching for a second switch elsewhere on the same circuit. It dims LED bulbs from 5W to 120W or incandescent and halogen bulbs from 60W to 400W, running on a 230 to 240V, 50Hz supply.

Buster + Punch grew out of Massimo Buster Minale's move away from architecture, he'd worked at practices including Foster and Partners, and into building motorbikes by hand in a Shoreditch garage from 2013. The brand still machines every part rather than casting or moulding it, which is what gives a finish like smoked bronze its depth and weight.

What's the difference between this and the Cross Knurl smoked bronze dimmer?
The plate, module and wiring are identical between the two ranges. This one carries the newer Linear Knurl pattern, fine straight ridges, instead of the original diamond cut Cross Knurl texture.
