A Toggle Switch Module Built for Two Way Control

This is the toggle switch mechanism that sits behind a Buster + Punch electricity plate, giving it a proper two way function. Fit it and the same light can be switched on or off from two different points, such as either end of a hallway or the top and bottom of a staircase.

How It Works

The module is rated at 250V and 10A on a 50Hz supply, and uses a mechanical toggle rather than a push button or rotary action. Wired as a two way switch, it works in a pair with a second two way switch elsewhere on the same circuit, so either one can turn the light on or off regardless of the position of the other. As with all mains connected Buster + Punch modules, installation should always be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Where It Works Best

It suits any room with two entrances or a run of stairs, where switching the same light from either end matters. Hallways, landings and staircases are the classic case, along with larger rooms that have doors at both ends.

Buster + Punch was founded in 2013 by Massimo Buster Minale, an architect who had worked at practices including Foster + Partners before spending his evenings building custom motorbikes by hand in a garage in Shoreditch, machining parts himself rather than buying them in. No. This is the internal toggle mechanism only. You will need a compatible Buster + Punch plate to fit it into.
