The Widest Pendant in Bover's Noren Range

At 151cm wide, the Noren S/151.2 is the largest linear format in Bover's Noren collection, finished here in a deep dark grey. It reads as much like an acoustic panel as a light fitting, built for rooms where echo and glare are both a problem rather than just one of them.

A Fabric Shell Built to Absorb Sound

Under the dark grey fabric sits a core of Basotect sound absorbing foam, wrapped in a fire resistant thermoplastic fabric and held by an aluminium frame with an MDF base. The felt like surface is what gives the Noren its acoustic properties, soaking up reflected noise rather than simply bouncing it back into the room.

How It Works

The standard Down Lighting version casts light downward from an integrated LED, running at 20.5W and 3000 lumens with a warm 3000K colour temperature and a high 95 CRI for accurate colour rendering. The Up and Down Lighting version adds a second, upward facing light source at 7W and 1040 lumens, so light also washes the ceiling above. Both are DALI dimmable, and the drop is adjustable from 1200mm up to 3700mm, so it can be set to suit the ceiling height it's hanging from.

Where It Works Best

Its scale and acoustic core suit large open plan offices, meeting rooms, restaurants and other commercial or hospitality interiors, particularly anywhere hard surfaces cause noise to build up and a single wide fitting can do the work of several smaller ones.

Made By Bover

Bover began in Barcelona in 1996, when Joana Bover turned a sketch for an architect friend's project into a lighting brand. It's still designed and produced in Spain today, based in Cardedeu near Barcelona, known for hand woven outdoor pieces and intricate wood lattice fixtures alongside more technical ranges like the Noren. The brand carries a Mediterranean design sensibility throughout, and opened a US subsidiary in Atlanta in 2012.
