A Sea Urchin Shaped Glow for the Garden
The Garota P/02 takes its rounded, spiny silhouette from a sea urchin, a shade woven by hand rather than moulded, so light spreads softly through the fibre instead of glaring from one point. At 1328mm tall, it stands as a real presence on a patio or among planting, working as sculpture as much as a light source.
Two Finishes to Suit Your Space
The Garota P/02 comes in a Natural White Ivory finish for a lighter, sandy tone, or a Graphite Brown for a darker, more grounded look that sits well among foliage. Both use the same hand woven synthetic polyethylene fibre over an aluminium and stainless steel frame, so the choice comes down to which tone suits your garden.
How It Works
An integrated LED sits behind a UV resistant polyethylene globe inside the woven shade, giving 17.1W and 2064 lumens of warm white light at 2700K with a CRI of 90 for accurate colour rendering outdoors. It's available as a Non Dimming model, supplied with a 3 pin plug ready to use, or a Triac Dimming model, supplied with lamp anchoring accessories and requiring hardwiring. The metal frame is coated with cataphoresis and epoxy polyester paint before the fibre is woven over it, and the whole fixture carries an IP66 rating for life outdoors. Moonlight Design recommends that all lighting is installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.

Bover was founded in Barcelona in 1996 by Joana Bover, starting out as a sketch for an architect friend's project, and the brand still designs and produces its lighting in Spain, based in Cardedeu near Barcelona. Alongside intricate wood lattice pieces like the Dome family, Bover is known for hand woven synthetic fibre outdoor lighting with a Mediterranean design sensibility, and opened a US subsidiary in Atlanta in 2012.

What's the difference between the Non Dimming and Triac Dimming versions?
The Non Dimming model is supplied with a 3 pin plug ready to use, while the Triac Dimming model is supplied with lamp anchoring accessories and needs hardwiring, so it should be fitted by an electrician.
