Wiska Gel 1 litre MP0100W

This is Wiska's MP-Gel, a two part silicone gel supplied as 2 x 500ml bottles that mix together in a 1:1 ratio to make up a litre. Once combined you pour it straight into a junction box or enclosure around the wired terminals, where it cures in about 20 minutes at room temperature after roughly 12 minutes of working time, giving a decent window to get it poured and settled before it sets.

Once cured it takes an enclosure's protection rating up to IP68, so it can be left fully submerged in water, and it holds a dielectric strength of 25.5kV/mm, suitable for cables rated between 0.6kV and 1kV. It's non-toxic, keeps indefinitely unopened, and stays re-enterable, so a box can be reopened and reworked later rather than having to be replaced outright.
