Utopia Vogue Mid Century Single Pendant Light - Matt Black & Satin Gold

The Vogue single pendant light takes the clean, rounded lines of mid century design and pairs them with a striking two tone finish. A wide dome shade in matt black sits above satin gold detailing, giving the fitting a quiet, confident presence over a kitchen island or dining table without ever feeling fussy.

The metalwork is finished in a matt black that keeps the silhouette soft and non reflective, while the satin gold accents add a warmer, more tactile contrast where the shade meets the fitting. As with any hand finished metal piece, expect small, natural variation from one pendant to the next rather than a perfectly uniform surface. Together the two tones sit comfortably against black, brass or timber kitchen hardware, as well as painted cabinetry in deeper colours.

How the pendant works

This is a single light fitting designed to take one 10W LED E27 bulb, which is not supplied so you can choose the warmth and brightness that suits the room. It is compatible with dimmable bulbs if you would like to bring the light down for evenings, though a compatible dimmer switch and dimmable bulb are needed to make use of that. The drop is adjustable, with a height range of roughly 37.5cm to 169cm, so it can be set to sit low over a table or raised for a higher ceiling. The fitting is Class I electrically, and as with any mains wired light, we would always recommend having it installed by a registered NICEIC electrician. At around 2.1kg, it is also worth checking that your ceiling fixing point is solid enough to take the weight before installation.

Where it works best

The Vogue pendant is well suited to kitchens and dining rooms, and its neatly proportioned dome makes it a natural choice for hanging over a kitchen island or a run of pendants above a dining table. As a single pendant it also works well used on its own over a smaller table or breakfast bar.
