The Spire Single Wall Light brings a quiet, sculptural presence to a wall. A slim vintage brass frame rises to hold a natural cylindrical shade in a soft white marble effect, so it reads as more of a small object than a standard fitting, something you'd notice even switched off.

The frame is finished in vintage brass, a warm, slightly aged tone rather than a bright polished metal, and it's paired with a cylindrical shade in white with a marble effect finish. Because pieces like this are finished by hand, expect gentle variation in the marbling from one shade to the next, which is part of the character rather than a flaw. Together the brass and white work well against darker paint colours, exposed brick, or simple painted walls where you want a single fitting to stand out without competing with the rest of the room.

How it works

This is a single light fitting that takes one 7W LED bulb with a B22 bayonet fitting; the bulb itself is not supplied, so you'll need to add your own. It works with dimmable bulbs if you'd like to dial the light up or down, though you will need dimmable bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch to do so. As with any mains wired wall light, we'd recommend having it installed by a registered NICEIC electrician rather than fitting it yourself. The fitting measures 30cm in height, 10cm in width, with a 17.5cm projection from the wall, so it's worth checking this against your wall space before ordering, particularly around doorways or stairs.

Its scale and warm finish suit living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms, and hallways, either as a single fitting either side of a bed or mirror, or spaced along a hallway or staircase wall for gentle, ambient light rather than a main source of illumination.
