Utopia Spike 4 Light Flush Fitting - Antique Brass - 80cm Diameter

The Utopia Spike is a flush ceiling light built around a bold starburst shape, its slim metal spikes radiating out to a full 80cm diameter. Sitting close to the ceiling with a projection of 27.8cm, it brings real presence to a room without hanging low, making it a good option for spaces where a pendant would feel too heavy or sit too far down.

The antique brass finish

This version is finished in antique brass over a steel frame, paired with glass detailing across the fitting. The aged brass tone gives the metalwork a warm, slightly worn character rather than a sharp polished look, and as with any hand finished metal, expect some gentle variation piece to piece. It suits interiors that lean traditional or transitional, and works equally well as a statement in a more contemporary room where you want a touch of warmth against cooler tones.

Flush ceiling light: how it works

The fitting takes 4 x E14 candle bulbs, or the LED equivalent, and bulbs are not included so you can choose the light source that suits the room. It's dimmable, but only if you fit dimmable bulbs. As this is a mains wired ceiling light, we'd always recommend having it installed by a registered NICEIC electrician. At around 7kg, it's also worth checking that your ceiling fixing point is sound and able to take the weight before you fit it, along with the separate decorative ceiling bracket and ring supplied with the fitting.

Where this flush fitting works best

With an IP20 rating, this light is designed for dry indoor rooms rather than anywhere damp or splash prone. It's a natural fit for a living room, bedroom, dining room or hallway, particularly where you want a central light with a bit of visual drama, such as over a dining table or in a room with higher ceilings where the 80cm spread can really be appreciated.
