Utopia Sphere Wall Light - Antique Brass

The Utopia Sphere Wall Light in Antique Brass brings a rounded, softly glowing glass shade to a simple wall mounted frame. It's a single light fitting, so it works well on its own or paired either side of a mirror, sofa or bed for balanced, ambient light rather than a single bright source overhead.

This Antique Brass Finish

The frame is steel finished in an antique brass tone, paired with a glass shade that diffuses the light rather than showing the bulb directly. Handmade metal finishes like this can vary slightly from piece to piece, so expect gentle, natural variation in tone rather than a perfectly uniform sheen. The warm brass reads well against darker paint colours, wood panelling or plaster walls, and pairs easily with brushed or antique brass door and cabinet hardware elsewhere in the room.

How This Wall Light Works

It takes a single 7W LED E14 bulb, which is not supplied, so you'll need to add your own before fitting it. It can be used with dimmable bulbs on a dimmer circuit if you'd like to soften the light further in the evening, though the fitting itself doesn't include a built in dimmer. As this is a mains wired fitting, we'd always recommend having it installed by a registered NICEIC electrician rather than fitting it yourself.

Where It Works Best

Being rated IP20, this light is designed for dry indoor rooms only, so it isn't suitable for bathrooms or anywhere it could be exposed to splashes or steam. It suits living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms, kitchens and hallways, particularly as a flanking pair around a fireplace, headboard or hallway mirror where a soft wash of light is more useful than direct overhead brightness.
