Utopia Planet 6 Light Pendant - Gold - 85cm Diameter

The Utopia Planet is a six light pendant designed to hang as a single wide fitting rather than a scattering of small lights. At 85cm across, it has enough presence to work as a proper centrepiece, and the adjustable drop means you can set it lower over a table or raise it for a more general spread of light.

The gold finish

This version is finished in gold across a steel frame, giving it a warm, slightly reflective surface that catches the light from each of the six bulb holders. Steel and glass is a practical pairing for a fitting this size: the metalwork carries the structure while the glass softens the light itself. It sits comfortably alongside warm wood tones, brass hardware, or darker painted walls where a gold fitting can stand out.

How the pendant works

It takes six G9 LED bulbs, each rated at 3W, and bulbs are not included so you can choose the colour temperature and brightness that suits the room. It's dimmable, but only if you fit dimmable G9 bulbs and pair them with a compatible dimmer switch. The drop is adjustable between roughly 47cm and 73cm at installation, which is useful if your ceiling height means you need to fine tune the hang before wiring in. As with any mains wired ceiling fitting, we'd recommend having it installed by a registered NICEIC electrician, and because it weighs around 4kg once assembled, it's worth checking your ceiling fixing point can safely take that weight before you hang it.

Where it works best

Its size and six light spread make it a natural fit for kitchen islands, dining tables, and living rooms where you want a proper statement piece rather than a discreet fitting. It also works well in a bedroom or a generous hallway, anywhere with the ceiling height and floor space to let the 85cm diameter breathe.
