The Utopia Orbit LED Hoop Pendant brings a wide, open circle of light to a room rather than tucking the light source away behind a shade. The hoop itself is the fitting, so it works as a piece of sculptural lighting as much as a practical ceiling light, with a ribbed acrylic diffuser softening the glow into an even wash of warm light.

Brushed Gold Plate and Opal Ribbed Acrylic

This version pairs a brushed gold plated frame with an opal ribbed acrylic diffuser. The brushed finish has a soft, low sheen quality and is finished by hand, so expect gentle variation from one fitting to the next. Fine ribbing across the acrylic breaks the light into a subtle textured pattern rather than a flat glare. Steel and aluminium form the frame itself, giving the hoop its shape. The warm gold tone sits well against walnut or brass accents, or as a standalone statement against a plain ceiling.

How This Hoop Pendant Light Works

Light comes from a 41W integrated LED (SMD 2835) in warm white, built into the fitting itself rather than a separate bulb you fit and replace over time. It can be paired with a suitable dimmer switch, though how well it dims will depend on the dimmer used. The drop is height adjustable, with a range of 45cm up to 157cm, so it can be set to suit your ceiling and how low you'd like the hoop to hang. It's wired to Class II, meaning it's double insulated, and as with any hardwired ceiling light, we'd recommend having it installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.
