Utopia Groove Wall Light - Matt Brass With Mink Shade

The Utopia Groove Wall Light brings together a slender matt brass frame and a soft mink fabric shade, a wall mounted design that throws a gentle, warm pool of light rather than a hard beam. It holds a single lamp, so it suits a lone spot beside a favourite chair just as well as a matched pair flanking a bed, doorway or fireplace.

This version is finished in matt brass, giving the steel frame a warm, understated tone that reads more bronze than yellow gold, and pairs easily with both warm and cool neutral schemes. The shade is a fabric drum in a soft mink shade, which softens the light and gives it a slightly warmer cast than an open bulb would. As with any fabric shade, expect a little natural variation in tone from one shade to the next.

How it works

The fitting takes a single 10W LED E27 bulb, which is not supplied, so you can choose the warmth and brightness that suits the room. It is dimmable, provided you fit a dimmable LED bulb. As this is a mains wired wall light, we would always recommend having it installed by a registered NICEIC electrician rather than fitting it yourself.

Where it works best

With an IP20 rating, this wall light is designed for dry indoor rooms only, so it is not intended for bathrooms or anywhere it might catch steam or splashes. It works well as wall lighting for a living room, bedroom, dining room or hallway, adding soft, layered light alongside your main ceiling fitting.
