The Utopia Frame 4 Light Pendant is built around a cluster of angular steel arms that fan out from a central point, each one finished in a different tone so the fitting catches the light differently depending on where you stand. It hangs at 57.5cm in diameter, and with four lamp positions it throws a good spread of light rather than a single pool, making it a natural centrepiece for a table or an open stairwell rather than a background fitting.

Antique gold with silver leaf finish

This version pairs warm antique gold with cooler silver leaf across the frame, so the two tones sit side by side rather than blending into one flat colour. Because the finish is applied by hand, expect gentle variation from arm to arm, which is part of the character rather than a flaw. The steel construction gives it enough weight to feel substantial without looking heavy, and the mixed metal palette makes it easy to sit alongside both brass and chrome accessories already in a room.

How it works

The pendant takes four LED E14 candle bulbs or LED equivalents, which are not supplied, so you'll need to add your own to suit the brightness and colour temperature you want. It's dimmable, provided you fit dimmable bulbs. The drop is adjustable from around 99.5cm up to 245cm, which gives plenty of scope for hanging it low over a table or higher in a stairwell or double height space. As with any mains wired ceiling light, installation should be carried out by a registered NICEIC electrician. At around 4kg, it's also worth checking that your ceiling fixing point can comfortably support the weight before it goes up.

Where it works best

With an IP20 rating, this pendant is designed for dry indoor rooms rather than bathrooms or anywhere with direct moisture exposure. It suits living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms and hallways particularly well, and its multi arm spread of light also makes it a strong choice above a kitchen island where you want a stronger, more sculptural statement than a single pendant would give.
