A Large Graphic Wall Light, 1.4 Metres Across
The Tooy Tratti Wall Light or Ceiling is designed by Cara\Davide and made from 3D printed nylon powder. It is the largest of the Tratti wall pieces: it measures approximately 140cm wide and 140cm high, with a depth of only 5cm. It works like a piece of art on a feature wall, or as a bold ceiling light, and it will be the first thing seen in the room.
Natural Powder Nylon Surface
The finish is natural powder nylon with a fine grain. The long, drawn shapes hold their form when unlit, and when lit the nylon turns the LED into an even, soft glow across the whole composition. It is a neutral, pale finish that lets the shape do the talking.
How it works
The built in LED is rated 35W at 2700K, giving about 1950 lumens of warm white light. It comes with a remote driver and is phase cut dimmable. No bulbs are needed. It can be fixed to a wall or a ceiling. A qualified electrician should always install this fitting.
Where it works best
Give it a large, clear wall: above a sofa or bed, in a double height hallway or at the end of a dining room. It also suits a ceiling in an open plan space. It is rated IP40, so it is for dry indoor rooms only.
The story behind Tooy
Tooy is an Italian lighting brand founded in 2015 by Valeria Giacomozzi and Valerio Tidei in the Marche region. It started as a spin off from Gibas, the Giacomozzi family company that has made tailor made lighting in Marche since 1959.
