A Tall, Slender Wall Light, Almost a Metre High
The Tooy Tratti 15W Vertical Ceiling or Wall Light is designed by Cara\Davide and made from 3D printed nylon powder. It is a narrow vertical bar of light, only about 6cm wide, but it stands approximately 96cm high. It makes a long, elegant wall light for a hallway, a stairwell or the side of a bed, where height matters more than width.
Natural Powder Nylon, Soft to the Eye
The finish is natural powder nylon with a light, grainy texture. Lit, it gives a gentle diffused glow along the full length. Unlit, the pale surface still looks considered and a little sculptural, which is useful on a wall you see every day.
How it works
A built in 15W LED at 2700K provides about 950 lumens of warm white light, with a remote driver included. It is phase cut dimmable, and there are no bulbs to buy or change. The fitting is designed for wall or ceiling fixing. A qualified electrician should always install this fitting.
Where it works best
A vertical wall light like this suits narrow spaces: beside a mirror, either side of a headboard, along a hallway or in a stairwell. Its slim profile means it takes very little wall width. It is rated IP40, so it is for dry indoor rooms only.
The story behind Tooy
Italian brand Tooy was founded in 2015 by Valeria Giacomozzi and Valerio Tidei, in the Marche region. It started as a spin off from Gibas, the Giacomozzi family lighting company that has made tailor made lighting in Marche since 1959. Corrado Dotti has been creative director since 2017, and Tooy lamps are made in Italy.
