A Slim Linear LED Pendant with a Warm Wood or Leather Accent

The Tooy Thula 11W Pendant Light is designed by Federica Biasi and is built around a simple, architectural line of light, softened by a natural wood or leather element. This is the shortest of the three Thula pendants, roughly 67cm long, 25cm deep and 11cm high, so it suits a small dining table, a kitchen counter or a reading corner without taking over the room.

Twelve Finish Combinations

The frame comes in Beige, Satin Nickel and Sand Black, paired with Canaletto Walnut, White Oak or Beige Leather. Walnut brings a darker, richer grain, White Oak is light and calm, and Beige Leather adds a soft, tactile touch. Sand Black with walnut is the most graphic, while Beige with White Oak is the gentlest, which makes it easy to match to timber, plaster or painted walls.

How it works

The LED is built in: 11W at 2700K, giving around 1400 lumens of warm white light. It is dimmable with a phase cut dimmer, the driver is on board, and there are no bulbs to buy. It hangs from a 150cm black cable with a ceiling canopy included. A qualified electrician should always install this fitting.

Where it works best

Hang it low over a dining table or breakfast bar, or use it in a hallway or bedroom where a linear pendant light suits the space better than a round shade. It is rated IP40, so it is for dry indoor rooms only.

The story behind Tooy

Tooy was founded in 2015 by Valeria Giacomozzi and Valerio Tidei in Italy's Marche region. It began as a spin off from Gibas, the Giacomozzi family lighting company that has made tailor made lighting in Marche since 1959. Corrado Dotti has been creative director since 2017, and Tooy's lamps are made in Italy.
