TOOY Structure 'Pilar & Viga' Vertical 97cm Pendant Light

A Tall Vertical Pendant, Nearly a Metre High

The Tooy Pilar & Viga vertical 97cm pendant light is the tallest in the vertical pendant range, designed by Marco Casamonti of Studio Archea. It is also a genuinely large fitting: it is approximately 97cm high and 16cm by 15cm across, plus a 150cm cable. It is a slim, tall statement pendant for stairwells, double height halls and the end of a long dining space, giving up and down light from one tall column.

Beige or Bronzed Steel Finish

Beige keeps such a tall fitting soft and light, and helps it settle against pale walls. Bronzed Steel gives it a darker, more graphic line that reads clearly from across a room. Whichever you choose, the finish runs the full height of the column.

How it works

An 80W integrated LED at 2700K is built in and gives around 4600 lumens of warm white light, so there are no bulbs to buy. We do not have dimming details for this version, so please ask us if you need to dim it. It hangs from a ceiling fixing on a 150cm cable. At around 11.5kg it is a heavy fitting, so the ceiling fixing should be checked by the installer. A qualified electrician should always install this fitting.

Where it works best

Choose this tall pendant where there is height to show it off, such as over a staircase, in a double height entrance hall or beside a feature wall. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry indoor rooms only.

The story behind Tooy

Tooy began in 2015, when Valeria Giacomozzi and Valerio Tidei launched it in Italy's Marche region as a spin off from Gibas. Gibas is the Giacomozzi family lighting company, which has made tailor made lighting in Marche since 1959. Corrado Dotti has been creative director since 2017, and Tooy lamps are made in Italy. Structure is the work of architect Marco Casamonti of Studio Archea.
