A Tiny Up and Down Wall Light
The Tooy Pilar & Viga vertical 16cm wall light is a small block of light designed by Marco Casamonti of Studio Archea. It is about 16cm high, 16cm wide and 15cm deep, and it throws a soft wash of light up and down the wall around it. It is a neat wall light for a hallway, a bedside or a pair either side of a mirror or door.
Beige or Bronzed Steel
Beige disappears into pale plaster and paint, leaving just the glow. Bronzed Steel is a darker, warmer metal that stands out as a small, deliberate detail on the wall. Choose to match your switches, door furniture or taps.
How it works
The LED is built in, a 8.5W unit at 2700K giving around 500 lumens of warm white light. There are no bulbs to buy. We do not have dimming details for this version, so please ask us if you need to dim it. It is wall mounted. A qualified electrician should always install this fitting.
Where it works best
Small and quiet, it suits corridors, landings, bedrooms and the sides of a bed. Its output is gentle rather than bright, so it works as ambient or accent light. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry indoor rooms only.
The story behind Tooy
Tooy was founded in 2015 by Valeria Giacomozzi and Valerio Tidei in Italy's Marche region. It began as a spin off from Gibas, the Giacomozzi family lighting company that has made tailor made lighting in Marche since 1959. Corrado Dotti has been creative director since 2017, and the brand's lamps are made in Italy. The Structure collection was designed by Marco Casamonti of Studio Archea.
