A Compact Pillar of Light on a Cable
The Tooy Pilar & Viga vertical 16cm pendant light is designed by Marco Casamonti of Studio Archea. It is the smallest of the vertical pendants in the Structure collection, a small upright block of light about 16cm high and 16cm by 15cm across, hung from a 150cm cable. Pilar is the pillar of the pair, and it sends light both up and down. Use it singly above a bedside table or console, or hang several at different heights for a small pendant cluster.
Beige or Bronzed Steel
Beige is light and calm, and it blends into pale walls and ceilings so the shape does the talking. Bronzed Steel is darker and warmer, with a metallic depth that gives this tiny pendant real presence. Pick Beige for a soft, quiet look and Bronzed Steel when you want a defined accent.
How it works
The light source is built in, an 8.5W integrated LED at 2700K giving around 500 lumens of warm white light. No bulbs are needed. We do not have dimming details for this version, so please ask us if dimming matters to you. It hangs from a ceiling fixing on a 150cm cable. A qualified electrician should always install this fitting.
Where it works best
This is a small pendant for small spots: beside a bed, at the end of a hallway, over a side table or in a run of three above a kitchen counter. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry indoor rooms only.
The story behind Tooy
Tooy was founded in 2015 by Valeria Giacomozzi and Valerio Tidei in Italy's Marche region. It began as a spin off from Gibas, the Giacomozzi family lighting company that has made tailor made lighting in Marche since 1959. Corrado Dotti has been creative director since 2017, and the brand's lamps are made in Italy. Structure was designed by Marco Casamonti of Studio Archea.
