TOOY Structure 'Pilar & Viga' Horizontal 160cm Wall

A 1.6 Metre Linear Wall Light for Big Walls

The Tooy Pilar & Viga horizontal wall light in this length is designed by Marco Casamonti of Studio Archea. It is a very long, slim bar and a genuinely large fitting: it is approximately 160cm long, 8.5cm deep and 16cm high. Fixed to the wall it makes a strong horizontal line, ideal as a wall light above a long sofa, a wide bed or a dining area.

Choose Beige or Bronzed Steel

Bronzed Steel stretches into a dark, warm line along the wall, a graphic accent in a pale room. Beige is the quieter option, a long, pale bar that stays close in tone to painted or plastered walls. At this length the finish has a big effect on how the fitting looks, so choose with care.

How it works

A 63W integrated LED at 2700K is built in and gives around 3600 lumens of warm white light, so no bulbs are needed. It is a single emission fitting and dimmable with DALI 2 and push control, which needs a compatible dimming setup. It is wall mounted, and the installer should check that the wall fixing suits a fitting of this length. A qualified electrician should always install this fitting.

Where it works best

Choose it for a feature wall behind a large sofa, over a wide bed, along a dining wall or down a gallery style hallway. It needs a clear stretch of wall to suit its length. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry indoor rooms only.

The story behind Tooy

Italian brand Tooy was set up in 2015 by Valeria Giacomozzi and Valerio Tidei in the Marche region. It grew out of Gibas, the Giacomozzi family company that has made tailor made lighting in Marche since 1959. Since 2017 Corrado Dotti has been creative director, and Tooy lamps are made in Italy. Marco Casamonti, an architect and professor who leads Archea Associati, designed the Structure collection.
