TOOY Structure 'Pilar & Viga' Horizontal 240cm Wall

A 2.4 Metre Linear Wall Light, the Longest in the Range

The Tooy Pilar & Viga horizontal wall light in its longest length is designed by Marco Casamonti of Studio Archea. It is a very large fitting: it is approximately 240cm long, 8.5cm deep and 16cm high. Fixed to the wall it forms a single continuous line of light, a bold choice for a long feature wall, a big living room or a gallery style hall.

Beige or Bronzed Steel

Bronzed Steel makes the long bar read as a dark, warm metal line, a strong graphic feature on a pale wall. Beige is gentler, and it lets a fitting this long fade into the wall so the light itself is what you notice. Think about the wall colour and the finishes in the room before you choose.

How it works

A 94.5W integrated LED at 2700K is built in and gives around 5400 lumens of warm white light, so there are no bulbs to buy. It is a single emission fitting and dimmable with DALI 2 and push control, which needs a compatible dimming setup. It is wall mounted. At around 18kg it is a heavy fitting, so the wall fixing should be checked by the installer. A qualified electrician should always install this fitting.

Where it works best

Choose it for a long wall behind a big sofa or banquette, along a double height hall or over a wide bed. It needs 240cm of clear wall, so it suits larger rooms. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry indoor rooms only.

The story behind Tooy

Tooy was founded in 2015 by Valeria Giacomozzi and Valerio Tidei in Italy's Marche region. It began as a spin off from Gibas, the Giacomozzi family lighting company that has made tailor made lighting in Marche since 1959. Corrado Dotti has been creative director since 2017, and the brand's lamps are made in Italy. The Structure collection comes from architect Marco Casamonti of Studio Archea.
