A Twelve Light Linear Chandelier, Over One and a Half Metres Long
The Tooy Quadrante 12 Light Chandelier is designed by Roberto Giacomucci and stretches the Quadrante grid into a long, low black linear pendant. It is a genuinely long fitting: it measures approximately 151cm long, 33cm deep and 12cm high, before the cable is added. It is made for long dining tables, big kitchen islands and open plan rooms that need a strong horizontal line.
One Finish, Matte Black
The welded steel pipe frame is powder coated in Matte Black. Over a metre and a half of dark lines gives a graphic effect that reads almost like a drawing in the air above a table. It looks best in a room with enough wall and table length to match it.
How it works
Twelve G9 lamp holders each take a bulb of up to 4W LED, and bulbs are not supplied. The largest bulb that fits is about 1.8cm across and 5.7cm high. It is dimmable if dimmable bulbs are used. It hangs from a 125cm steel cable, with a 150cm black electric cable and a 13cm canopy and bracket included. A qualified electrician should always install this fitting.
Where it works best
Choose it above a dining table that seats six to eight, a long kitchen island or a wide console in a hall. With twelve bulbs spread along the length, the light is even from end to end. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry indoor rooms only.
The story behind Tooy
Tooy was founded in 2015 by Valeria Giacomozzi and Valerio Tidei in Italy's Marche region. It grew out of Gibas, the Giacomozzi family lighting company, which has made tailor made lighting in Marche since 1959. Corrado Dotti has been creative director since 2017. The brand's lamps are made in Italy.
