TOOY OSMAN Single Wall Light

A Small Single Glass Wall Light

The Tooy Osman Single Wall Light is designed by Corrado Dotti and is a neat, one bulb wall light, approximately 8cm wide, 13cm deep and 23cm high. A double wall glass cylinder sits on a small metal backplate and sticks out only a little from the wall.

Metal and Glass Options

The body is Matte Black with either Brushed Brass or Black Chrome detailing. Pair it with Clear Glass for a clean, bright cylinder or Smoke Glass for a softer, tinted look. Brass and clear is the warmest combination on a pale wall. Black chrome and smoke blends in on darker ones. Colour can look different on screen, so please ask if you are unsure.

How it works

One E14 lamp holder takes a bulb of up to 8W LED, and the bulb is not supplied. The largest bulb that fits is about 3cm across. It is dimmable if a dimmable bulb is used. It is a hardwired wall light with its mounting bracket. A qualified electrician should always install this fitting.

Where it works best

Because it is so compact, it is a good wall light for a hallway, a pair either side of a bed or mirror, or a run along a landing. It gives a gentle accent rather than a flood of light. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry indoor rooms only.

The story behind Tooy

Tooy was founded in 2015 by Valeria Giacomozzi and Valerio Tidei in Italy's Marche region. It came out of Gibas, the Giacomozzi family lighting company that has made tailor made lighting in Marche since 1959. Corrado Dotti designed Osman. He trained with Matteo Thun and then Armani Casa, opened his own studio in 2009 and has been Tooy's creative director since 2017. The lamps are made in Italy.
