TOOY OSMAN 16 Light Chandelier - Large

A Wide Sixteen Light Chandelier, Over a Metre and a Quarter Across

The Tooy Osman 16 Light Chandelier Large is designed by Corrado Dotti and is the biggest chandelier in the Osman family. It is also a genuinely large fitting: it measures approximately 130cm across and 60cm high, before the hanging rods are added. It is made for long dining tables, wide open plan spaces and big entrance halls, where it will be the first thing you see.

Matte Black With Brass or Chrome, Clear or Smoke

All four versions share a Matte Black squared frame holding sixteen glass cylinders. Brushed Brass gives a warm, gilded edge, and Black Chrome keeps everything dark and refined. Clear Glass lets the bulbs show through for a sparkling look, while Smoke Glass quietens the light into something more atmospheric. On a piece this wide the choice of glass really changes the mood of a room, and screens can show the tones differently, so ask us if you want advice.

How it works

Sixteen E14 lamp holders each take a bulb of up to 8W LED. Bulbs are not supplied, and the largest bulb that fits is about 3cm across. The chandelier is dimmable if dimmable bulbs are used. It comes with a 60cm and a 90cm rod and a joint kit, so the hanging height can be set on site. A qualified electrician should always install this fitting.

Where it works best

Choose the Large where the room can carry it, such as over a table that seats eight or more, in a double height hall or in a wide living space. It is a big black chandelier that gives plenty of ambient light. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry indoor rooms only.

The story behind Tooy

Tooy started in 2015 in Italy's Marche region, set up by Valeria Giacomozzi and Valerio Tidei as a spin off from Gibas. Gibas is the Giacomozzi family lighting company, and it has made tailor made lighting in Marche since 1959. Osman comes from Corrado Dotti, who trained with Matteo Thun and then Armani Casa before opening his own studio in 2009, and who has been Tooy's creative director since 2017. The lamps are made in Italy.
