TOOY Nastro Chandelier - Medium

A Six Light Chandelier Over a Metre and a Half Across

The Tooy Nastro Medium Chandelier is designed by Studiopepe and is the grand version of the Nastro ribbon idea: six LED light sources spread along flowing bands of powder coated metal. It is a very large fitting: it measures approximately 152cm across and 23cm high, before the cable is added. It is made for a long dining table, a wide entrance hall or a big open plan living space, and it will become the main feature of the room.

Band and Cylinder, Your Choice

Choose the band in Beige, Terracotta, Greenish Grey or Sand Black, then add a cylinder weight in Beige, Terracotta, Greenish Grey, Sand Black or Brushed Brass. At this scale the colour matters a great deal. A single tonal colour keeps the shape soft and quiet against the ceiling, while a Brushed Brass cylinder on a Sand Black band gives a more dramatic, graphic look above a dark dining table.

How it works

Six 9W LED sources are built in, at 2700K warm white. They are included, so there are no bulbs to buy. The chandelier is dimmable with a phase cut dimmer. It hangs from a 125cm steel suspension cable and a ceiling fixing. This is a heavy fitting, so the ceiling fixing should be checked by the installer. A qualified electrician should always install this fitting.

Where it works best

Use it above a dining table that seats eight or more, in a double height hallway or in a large living room with generous ceiling height. In a smaller room it will feel too big, so measure carefully first. It is rated IP40, so it is for dry indoor rooms only.

The story behind Tooy

Tooy is a lighting brand from Italy's Marche region, founded in 2015 by Valeria Giacomozzi and Valerio Tidei. It began as a spin off from Gibas, the Giacomozzi family lighting company that has made tailor made lighting in Marche since 1959. Corrado Dotti has been its creative director since 2017, and the lamps are made in Italy.
