A Large Fabric Pendant for Dining Tables

The Tooy Lilly large suspension pendant is designed by Corrado Dotti and is the biggest pendant in the range. The shade measures about 50cm across and 25cm high, with a 150cm cable, so it has the width to sit over a dining table or fill a high living room ceiling. It is a generous fabric pendant light that still feels airy.

Fabric and Net on Sand Black

The shade is beige fabric covered by a black net, held by a Sand Black powder coated metal frame. At this size the texture of the fabric and the pattern of the mesh really show. It reads as soft and natural by day, and glows warmly when lit.

How it works

The pendant takes one E27 bulb of up to 15W, not supplied. Choose a dimmable bulb and use a compatible dimmer if you want to lower the light. It hangs on a 150cm fabric cable from a ceiling fixing. A qualified electrician should always install this fitting.

Where it works best

Hang it above a dining table, a kitchen island or the centre of a living room. It is also a good choice for an open plan space where you want a warm, wide shape without a bulky silhouette. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry indoor rooms only.

The story behind Tooy

Tooy was founded in 2015 by Valeria Giacomozzi and Valerio Tidei in Italy's Marche region, as a spin off from Gibas. Gibas is the Giacomozzi family lighting company that has made tailor made lighting in Marche since 1959. Corrado Dotti, who trained with Matteo Thun and then Armani Casa before opening his own studio in 2009, has been creative director since 2017. The brand's lamps are made in Italy.
