TOOY Legier Table Lamp - 30cm

The larger of the two Legier table lamps by Corrado Dotti for Tooy is a fitting that moves the collection's signature hand blown glass diffuser into the territory of a proper room lamp — something with enough presence and light output to serve as the primary source of warm, ambient light in a sitting room, to hold its own on a large sideboard or console table, or to bring a quality of considered luxury to a generous bedside setting.

At 30cm the hand blown opal white or fumè glass diffuser has a scale that gives the Murano inspired form its fullest expression. The rounded, gently organic shape of the glass — drawn from the historic forms of Venetian perfume bottles — sits with a particular authority at this size, the relationship between the mass of the diffuser and the precision of the sand black powder coated metal base feeling properly balanced in a way that smaller versions, for all their charm, cannot quite achieve.

Opal white glass at 30cm produces a genuinely generous warm ambient light that fills the area around the lamp with an evenness and quality that makes the room feel properly considered rather than simply lit. Fumè glass shifts the character entirely — the tinted diffuser producing a warmer, softer, more directional glow that suits settings where atmosphere is the priority and the lamp itself is as much an object of interest as a source of illumination.

The choice between light grey and brushed brass ring detail remains as meaningful here as across the rest of the collection. At this scale the brushed brass option has a particular material presence — the warm metallic ring catching the light from the glass above it and creating a layered quality of material depth that makes the table lamp feel genuinely special as an object.
