A Large Glass and Leather Pendant, 50cm Across
The Tooy Bolina Pendant Light Large is designed by Fabio Fantolino and inspired by sailing. Its round glass body, wrapped in a leather band, recalls the soft shape of a life preserver. This is the biggest pendant in the Bolina family: approximately 50cm across and 30cm high, with a bright output of around 11,700 lumens. It suits a dining table, a kitchen island or a double height entrance as a statement pendant light.
Caramel and Amber, or Beige and Satin White
Two finishes share a dark bronze metal frame. Caramel nabuk leather is paired with amber glass, which gives a warm, honeyed glow and a rich, earthy look. Light beige nabuk leather is paired with satin white glass, which is calmer and paler and keeps the light soft and even. Pick amber for drama, or satin white for a lighter feel.
How it works
The light source is a built in 57W LED at 3000K, so there are no bulbs to buy or change. It is dimmable through DALI 2 and Push controls. A stem kit lets you set the hanging length on site at 30, 60 or 90cm. A qualified electrician should always install this fitting.
Where it works best
Hang it over a dining table or kitchen island, or in an entrance hall where a single bold pendant is enough. It gives a warm, ambient glow across a wide area. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry indoor rooms only.
The story behind Tooy
Tooy was founded in 2015 by Valeria Giacomozzi and Valerio Tidei in Italy's Marche region. It began as a spin off from Gibas, the Giacomozzi family lighting company that has made tailor made lighting in Marche since 1959. Corrado Dotti has been creative director since 2017, and the brand's lamps are made in Italy.
