A Slim Round LED Pendant, Only 2.5cm Deep
The Tooy Bilancella pendant light is designed by Roberto Giacomucci and built around one idea: take a light fitting right back to its most essential shape. This version is a flat, round LED pendant roughly 50cm across and just 2.5cm deep, hung from a 150cm cable. It gives a clean, directed pool of light, so it works well as a dining table pendant, a kitchen island light or a quiet statement in a hallway. In either finish it is a black or bronze pendant light that keeps the ceiling looking clean.
Sand Black or Satin Bronze Powder Coat
The body is powder coated metal with a slim metal diffuser, offered in two finishes. Sand Black is a deep, dark finish that sits comfortably with stone, concrete and raw timber. Satin Bronze is softer and warmer, and suits interiors where you want a little more depth of colour. Both keep the fitting looking calm and uncluttered from below.
How it works
The light source is built in, a 40W integrated LED at 2700K that gives around 3200 lumens of warm white light. It is dimmable, and you won't need to buy or change bulbs. The cable is a sliding design, so the pendant can settle at the height you want, and it hangs from a ceiling fixing. A qualified electrician should always install this fitting.
Where it works best
The slim profile suits low ceilings and modern open plan spaces where a bulky shade would feel too heavy. Hang one above a dining table, group several at different heights over a kitchen island, or use it in a living room, bedroom or hallway. It is rated IP40, so it is for dry indoor rooms only.
The story behind Tooy
Tooy was founded in 2015 by Valeria Giacomozzi and Valerio Tidei in Italy's Marche region. It began as a spin off from Gibas, the Giacomozzi family lighting company that has made tailor made lighting in Marche since 1959. Corrado Dotti has been creative director since 2017, and the brand's lamps are made in Italy.
