A Flat Round LED Light for Wall or Ceiling
The Tooy Bilancella ceiling or wall light is designed by Roberto Giacomucci and takes the collection's thin, graphic look onto a surface. It is a flat round LED fitting approximately 50cm across and 6cm deep, with the light point set slightly off centre so it reads as a single clean line. Fix it to the ceiling as a low profile ceiling light, or to the wall as a wall light for a hallway, landing or bedroom.
Sand Black or Satin Bronze Powder Coat
Both finishes are powder coated metal with a thin metal diffuser. Sand Black is a darker, matt choice that disappears neatly against painted walls and ceilings. Satin Bronze is warmer and gives the disc a soft metallic glow, which works well in rooms with timber, leather or brass accents.
How it works
The 40W LED is built in and gives warm white light at 2700K, around 3200 lumens. It is dimmable, and there are no bulbs to buy or change. The fitting can be fixed to either a wall or a ceiling. A qualified electrician should always install this fitting.
Where it works best
The shallow profile suits low ceilings, corridors and landings where a bulky shade would feel intrusive. It also works as a wall light above a bed or sideboard, or as a simple ceiling light in a kitchen or living room. It is rated IP40, so it is for dry indoor rooms only.
The story behind Tooy
Tooy was started in 2015 by Valeria Giacomozzi and Valerio Tidei in Italy's Marche region. It grew out of Gibas, the Giacomozzi family company that has made tailor made lighting in Marche since 1959. Corrado Dotti has been creative director since 2017, and the brand's lamps are made in Italy.
