Light That Walks the Line of a Path
Rather than a round column, the Pathlight 70 stands as a slim flattened blade of corten steel, its LED aimed to spread light sideways along the ground rather than straight down. It reads more like a piece of garden sculpture that happens to light your way after dark.
Where It Sits in the Rusty Family
This is the taller of the two Pathlight shapes at 70cm, built with an integrated LED module rather than the socketed lamp used in the shorter 40cm Pathlight. Compared with the round Rusty bollards and the angular Square profile in the same collection, the Pathlight's flat blade shape gives a more directional throw of light, useful where you want to define an edge rather than simply mark a point.
How It Works
SLV forms the body from FeCSi steel using a controlled chemical treatment that produces a genuine rust surface, one that then shields the steel beneath from further corrosion. The integrated LED delivers 470 lumens at 3000K with a colour rendering index of 80 and a 90 degree beam angle, rated at 8.8W and built for a service life of around 25,000 hours. It carries an IP55 rating and is built to perform in ambient temperatures from minus 20 to 40 degrees Celsius, connecting to a 230V mains supply.
Where It Works Best
Its height and sideways throw suit it to running alongside a path or drive where a continuous ribbon of light is more useful than individual pools, or standing at intervals along a border to pick out planting after dark.

Questions People Ask
Will the rusted finish mark the path or grass underneath it? No, the rust layer is a stable, protective finish rather than active corrosion, so it will not stain the ground or keep spreading once it has formed.
How long can I expect the LED to last before it needs attention? It is rated for around 25,000 hours of use, and since the LED is built in rather than a swappable bulb, that figure covers the working life of the fixture itself.
How does this compare to the round Rusty bollards in the range? Rather than a column that lights a single point, the Pathlight's flat blade shape throws light sideways along the ground, which suits tracing the edge of a path rather than marking it at intervals.
