The Searchlight Zante brings a textured, sculptural base to a simple task: lighting a side table. Its speckled cement base has genuine heft, so it sits solidly rather than perching, and its charcoal fabric drum shade gives a soft, warm glow rather than a stark pool of light.
Materials and Finish
The base is cast from cement, known as ciment, finished in a mottled grey silver tone with a turned wood effect neck where the shade meets the body. Steel and plastic fittings hold everything together, and the drum shade is wrapped in a plain woven fabric.
How It Works
The Zante takes a single E14 candle bulb, not included, and is not dimmable. It is a Class II, double insulated lamp, so no earth connection is needed, and it is a straightforward plug in fitting, typically switched via an inline switch on the cable.
