An Orbiting Frame in Antique Brass

The Orbit pendant is built from rings of antique brass metal that cross through each other like the paths of an orbit, with eight candle style lights held where the rings intersect. It has real scale and presence, working as a sculptural centrepiece rather than a fitting that disappears into the ceiling. With the bulbs exposed rather than hidden behind a shade, it gives a warm, layered glow along with its striking silhouette.

Antique Brass Metal

Every ring is finished in a warm antique brass, which catches the light along its brushed surface as the crossing lines curve around the sphere. The eight candle style bulb holders sit at different points around the frame, so the light spreads outward in multiple directions rather than straight down. Its warmer metal tone suits interiors with existing brass, wood or leather tones, where the frame reads as a piece of statement lighting rather than a background fitting.

Where It Works Best

Its size and drop make it best suited to a room with a reasonable ceiling height, such as over a dining table, in a stairwell or hallway with a double height ceiling, or as the main light in an open plan living or kitchen space. The antique brass finish works particularly well in warmer, more traditional schemes, or as a contrast against dark walls and cabinetry.

Questions People Ask

What bulbs does the Orbit pendant take?
It takes eight E14 candle bulbs. We'd recommend an LED of around 6W per bulb, which gives the same brightness as an old 60W incandescent candle bulb. Bulbs are not included.

Can this pendant be dimmed?
Yes, but only if it's fitted with dimmable LED bulbs and used with a compatible dimmer switch. Standard, non dimmable bulbs will not dim even on a dimmer circuit.

Can the drop be adjusted?
Yes, the chain and cable can be shortened, so the pendant can be hung lower or higher depending on your ceiling height.

Is there a version in a different finish?
Yes, the Orbit pendant is also available in matt black, sold separately.
