A Stainless Steel Security Light That Switches Itself On
The Mela LED 2 Light Outdoor Wall Bracket sends light both up and down a wall from a single brushed stainless steel body, and its built in motion sensor means it switches on the moment someone walks into range. It is a neat, modern choice for anyone who wants a stainless steel outdoor wall light with sensor built in, rather than a separate security light to wire up.
Materials and Finish
The cylindrical body is made from stainless steel, with a ribbed profile and a frosted glass diffuser set into the top and bottom of each lamp holder. The brushed finish resists the dulling that plainer metals can suffer outdoors and works equally well against render, brick or timber cladding.
How It Works
Two GU10 LED bulbs (not included) sit behind the glass diffusers, one throwing light up and one down. The fixture is not dimmable, but the integrated motion sensor takes care of switching it on automatically as you approach and off again once the area is clear. This is a Class I fitting, which means it must be earthed as part of installation. We recommend having any hardwired outdoor light like this fitted by a registered NICEIC electrician.

This is a security light with sensor at heart, so it earns its place by front and back doors, along driveways, and in side passages and alleyways where automatic lighting adds both convenience and reassurance.

Does the Mela wall bracket come with bulbs?
No. It takes two GU10 LED bulbs, which are sold separately.
Can I turn the motion sensor off and leave the light on permanently?
This fixture is designed to work with its built in sensor rather than as a manual switch on light, so there is no separate override for constant use.
Is the Mela suitable for a covered porch as well as an open wall?
Yes. Its IP44 rating covers splashing water, so it is suitable for covered porches, entrances and other sheltered outdoor walls.
