The Searchlight Martin spotlight is a compact wall mounted light finished in black, with a smoked glass shade that gives a warm, subtly tinted glow rather than a bare bulb look. The head tilts on its own bracket, so you can angle the beam exactly where you need it. Its simple, understated shape makes it an easy fit for kitchens and home offices that need focused, adjustable light.
Materials and Finish
The fixture is built from mild steel in a black finish, paired with a smoked glass shade that softens the light output and adds a subtle tint when lit.
How It Works
It takes a single 40W max E14 golf ball bulb (not included) and is dimmable with suitable bulbs. The head is adjustable, so you can tilt it to direct light exactly where it's needed. This fixture is Class I and needs to be earthed as part of installation. As with all our mains wired lighting, we recommend having it installed by a qualified electrician.
Where It Works Best
As a wall mounted spotlight, it works well angled down over a kitchen worktop for direct task lighting, or mounted above a desk in a home office where you want a single, focused light source.

What bulb does the Martin spotlight take?
It takes a single E14 golf ball bulb, up to 40W, which is not included. Choose a dimmable bulb if you want to use it with a dimmer switch.
Is the Martin spotlight wall mounted or ceiling mounted?
It is a wall mounted spotlight. It fixes to the wall with a round backplate and the head tilts on its own bracket, so you can angle the light where you need it.
Does this light need to be installed by an electrician?
Yes. It is a mains wired, Class I fitting, and we always recommend having it installed by a qualified electrician.
Can this light be used outdoors?
No. It has an IP20 rating, which means it's designed for indoor use only.
How much light does the smoked glass shade let through?
The smoked glass tints the light slightly, giving a warmer, softer glow than a clear shade, while still allowing plenty of light through for task lighting.
