The Searchlight Lambeth 4 Light Bar Pendant is a linear bar pendant finished in black, with an intricate cut metal pattern along its length. It holds four bulbs spaced evenly across a 90cm bar, giving four separate points of light rather than one central glow, which makes it a natural fit above a kitchen island or a long dining table.
Materials and Finish
The bar and shades are made from mild steel, cut with the Lambeth pattern and finished in black. The cut pattern lets light spill through the metal itself as well as from each bulb, so it throws a bit of texture and warmth rather than a plain, flat glow.
How It Works
This pendant takes four E27 bulbs, which are not supplied. It can be dimmed, but only with an external dimmer installation and LED dimmable bulbs fitted; a standard bulb or a standard switch will not dim it. The drop is adjustable between 40cm and 120cm, so it can be set to suit different ceiling heights. It is wired to Class I standards and needs to be earthed. As with any hardwired ceiling light, installation should always be carried out by a qualified electrician.
Where It Works Best
The bar shape and four separate lights suit kitchen islands well, running along the length of the worktop, and work equally well above a long dining table for an even spread of light. It also suits open plan kitchen and dining spaces, where a single row of light helps mark out the prep or dining area.
