The Hotel wall light does two jobs from one fixture: a rectangular fabric shade gives soft, ambient light for the room, while a separate flexible reading arm with its own LED spotlight lets you read in bed without switching on the main light. It's built with the practicality of an actual hotel bedside light, which is exactly where the name comes from.

This version is finished in satin brass metal with a crisp white rectangular fabric shade. The warm brass tone and the soft white fabric work together to feel more like a considered piece of bedroom furniture than a purely functional fitting, and the satin finish keeps the metal from looking too polished or formal.

How It Works

• Main shade takes 1 x E27 bulb, around 6W LED (60W incandescent equivalent), not supplied
• Flexible gooseneck arm holds a separate integrated LED spotlight for focused reading light
• Bend the gooseneck arm to point the reading light exactly where you need it
• Wall mounted fixing, hardwired by a qualified electrician in the usual way
• Finished in satin brass metal with a white fabric shade

Where It Works Best

Designed with bedrooms in mind, particularly either side of a bed where one person wants to read while the other sleeps. It works just as well in a living room, dining room or hallway wherever a soft ambient light with an occasional focused beam is useful.

What is the flexible arm on this light for?
It holds a separate integrated LED spotlight that you can bend into position for reading, independent of the main fabric shade light.

What bulb does the main shade take?
It takes a single E27 bulb. A modern LED equivalent is around 6W, close to the light output of an old 60W incandescent bulb, and the bulb is not supplied.

Does this wall light need to be hardwired?
Yes. Like other Searchlight wall lights, it's designed to be connected to the mains and fitted by a qualified electrician rather than plugged into a socket.

Is this light suitable for a bathroom?
No. It's rated IP20, which means it's designed for dry indoor rooms rather than bathrooms or other damp areas.
