A Soft Wash of Light for Lower Ceilings
The Searchlight Garson in its large size pairs a grey fabric drum with an acrylic diffuser, giving a soft, even spread of light that sits close to the ceiling. It's built as a flush fitting, so there's no drop to worry about in rooms with lower ceilings.

The outer shade is fabric in a neutral grey, wrapped around an acrylic diffuser that spreads the light evenly across the room.
How It Works
The LED light source is integrated and cannot be replaced, giving around 1625 lumens at a warm 3000K. It is not dimmable. This is a Class I fitting, which requires earthing. As with any hardwired ceiling light, installation should always be carried out by a qualified electrician.
Where It Works Best
This size of Garson suits living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms and hallways, particularly where ceiling height is limited and a pendant would hang too low.

Can the bulb be replaced if it stops working?
No. The LED is integrated into the fitting rather than a separate replaceable bulb, so the light engine is built to last for its rated lifespan.
Is this light dimmable?
No, the Garson is not compatible with dimmer switches.
What size room does the large Garson suit?
At 50cm across, the large size works well as the main light in a mid to large sized room such as a living room or bedroom, rather than a small hallway or landing.
Does it need much of a ceiling void to fit?
No. As a flush fitting it sits just 13cm proud of the ceiling, making it a good option where a pendant can't be used.
Do I need an electrician to install this light?
Yes. This is a hardwired fitting and it should always be installed by a qualified electrician rather than fitted as a DIY job. It is also a Class I fitting, which requires earthing.
