Some table lamps disappear into the background. This one doesn't. The Elegant Table Lamp is built around an open circular ring in a matte black finish, a sculptural, almost art deco shape that gives it real presence on a console table or sideboard even when the light isn't switched on.
The Navy Shade
This version pairs the matte black ring base with a navy velvet tapered shade. The velvet has a soft, light absorbing texture that reads as deep blue in daylight and warms to a rich charcoal navy once the lamp is lit. A slim brass coloured collar connects the shade to the ring, a small detail that lifts the whole piece and stops the black from feeling flat. It works well against warm neutrals, dark wood furniture or a navy and brass colour scheme.

- Takes one E27 bulb (not included). We'd suggest around 6W LED (60W incandescent equivalent) for a comfortable bedside or side table glow
- Fixed brightness, so it isn't compatible with a dimmer switch
- Rated IP20, which means it's designed for dry indoor rooms rather than bathrooms or outdoor spaces
- Double insulated (Class II) metal construction, no earth connection needed
- Arrives with the shade fitted to the base, so there's no assembly beyond fitting a bulb
Where It Works Best
The rectangular plinth base keeps it stable on a bedside table, and the tall silhouette means the light sits well above eye level when you're sat up in bed reading.
