Some table lamps disappear into the background. This one doesn't. The Elegant Table Lamp is built around an open circular ring in a matte black finish, a sculptural, almost art deco shape that gives it real presence on a console table or sideboard even when the light isn't switched on.
The Emerald Shade
This version pairs the matte black ring base with an emerald green velvet tapered shade. The velvet has a deep, saturated colour with a soft nap that catches the light differently depending on the angle you view it from. A slim brass coloured collar connects the shade to the ring, adding a warm metallic note against the black and green. It suits interiors built around jewel tones, dark green, brass and walnut, or as a single statement of colour in an otherwise neutral room.

- Fixed brightness, so it isn't compatible with a dimmer switch

Where It Works Best
The rectangular plinth base keeps it stable on a bedside table, and the tall silhouette means the light sits well above eye level when you're sat up in bed reading. It's equally suited to a living room console table, a hallway table by the front door, or as a pair either side of a sofa. It takes a single E27 bulb, sold separately. An LED bulb of around 6W (equivalent to a 60W incandescent) gives a warm, comfortable level of light for a table lamp.
Can I use this lamp with a dimmer switch?
No. This lamp is not dimmable, so it runs at a single fixed brightness once switched on.
Will the emerald shade fade over time?
Velvet can lighten slightly with prolonged direct sunlight, so it's best kept out of a spot that gets strong all day sun to keep the colour looking rich.
