A Solar Powered PIR Light for Doorways and Pathways
The Searchlight Dallas Solar Outdoor Wall Light pairs solar power with a built in PIR motion sensor, so it lights up automatically wherever you fix it with no cable run back to the house. A separate solar panel connects to the light head by a cable and charges its own battery pack during the day, ready to trigger a bright burst of light the moment the sensor picks up movement nearby.
Materials and Finish
Made from ABS and clear polycarbonate, finished in black. The clear polycarbonate covers the LED panel and the PIR sensor sits in the same housing, keeping the whole unit compact and weather ready.
How It Works
A 2.5W integrated LED sits inside the wall mounted light head, powered by a rechargeable battery that the separate solar panel keeps topped up. On standby it gives a low level 12 lumen glow, stepping up to 250 lumens whenever the PIR sensor detects movement nearby, then dropping back down once the area is quiet again. It is not dimmable and runs at a fixed 3000K warm white. As a Class III, battery powered fixture it has no mains cable or earth connection to make. Its IP44 rating protects it against splashing water from any direction.
Where It Works Best
A useful security light for a front door, side passage, garage wall or garden path, anywhere a motion triggered light close to head height is helpful. Because the solar panel is wired separately from the light head rather than built into the same housing, it can be positioned in full sun a short distance away even if the light itself needs to go somewhere shadier.

No. The Dallas has a separate solar panel that connects to the light head by a cable, so you can mount the panel wherever it gets the most sun even if that is a short distance from where the light itself is fixed.
