A Traditional Box Lantern for Porches and Front Doors
The Searchlight Byron is a classic box style lantern designed for porches and front doors. Its satin silver body and clear glass panels give a traditional look that works well on period and modern homes alike, and the black cast trim at the top and bottom adds a crisp finishing detail.
Materials and Finish
The frame is made from stainless steel finished in satin silver, with black cast caps at the top and bottom and clear glass panels on all four sides so the light spreads outward rather than staying boxed in.
How It Works
The Byron takes a single E27 bulb, which is not included, and is not dimmable. It is a Class I fitting, which means it is earthed for safety. As with any hardwired outdoor light, we recommend having it installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.
Where It Works Best
Mounted beside a front door or on a sheltered porch wall, the Byron suits homes looking for a traditional lantern shape rather than a plain modern cylinder. It also works well flanking a garage or garden gate.
