Black Aluminium with a Ribbed Polycarbonate Lens

The body is cast aluminium finished in matt black, paired with a clear, ribbed polycarbonate lens around the light source. The ribbing spreads the glow evenly around the post rather than throwing a single bright spot, so it reads as a soft marker light rather than a floodlight. The black finish sits quietly against gravel, block paving, render or planting.

How It Works

• Cast aluminium bollard body with a black finish and a domed aluminium cap

Where It Works Best

This is a light for the outdoors only. Use it to line a driveway or path, mark the edge of a garden bed, or add low level light beside steps and entrances. Because it stands at 90cm, it works well spaced along a route rather than positioned on its own.

What bulb does the Bronx Outdoor Post take?
It takes a single E27 bulb, which is not supplied. We would recommend an LED bulb of around 6W (the equivalent brightness of an old 60W incandescent bulb) to keep running costs down.

Is it suitable for an exposed driveway or path?
Yes. The Bronx Outdoor Post has an IP65 rating, which means it is fully protected against rain and water jets, so it can be used in open, exposed outdoor positions.

Does the light point upwards or glare?
No. The ribbed polycarbonate lens sits around the light source and spreads it sideways around the post, giving a soft ambient glow rather than a bright, glaring point of light.
